About Me

A therapist and his counselling buddy in Burlington

Justin Hamilton MSW, RSW

I grew up in Timmins, a city in Northern Ontario, and now I live in Burlington with my wife (and my furry co-pilot, pictured). I have extensive experience working with addiction and know how important recovery is. I can aid in honing your communication skills, coping with anger, and developing relationships. As well, I have a focus on core value work and getting you back in touch with your authentic self.

I received my diploma in Social Service Work at Sheridan College. Following that, I received my Bachelor of Social Work at Laurier University and my Master of Social Work at McMaster University.

I’m a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) and a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW).

I believe it’s my responsibility and privilege to help others help themselves. Everyone deserves happiness. And yes, that includes you.

This is my comfortable office in Burlington

I have a cozy office space for safe, in-person sessions conveniently located in Burlington near the QEW & Appleby Line, located an short distance from Hamilton, Oakville and Milton. There’s ample free parking at the building. My office is located at Unit 59. When you enter the door, take the staircase immediately to the left up to the second floor, and you’ll enter a comfortable waiting room where I’ll come out to meet you.

I’ll offer you a cup of coffee or tea during our session. The office has a private washroom and plenty of natural light.
