About Me

A therapist and his counselling buddy in Burlington

Justin Hamilton SSW, BSW, MSW, RSW

I grew up in Timmins, a city in Northern Ontario, and now I live in Burlington with my loving partner and loyal dog. I have extensive experience dealing with addiction and know how important recovery is. I can also aid in honing your communication skills, coping with anger, and developing relationships. As well, I have a focus on core value work and getting you back in touch with your authentic self. Nowadays, life can be more difficult than ever. At times, it can be overwhelming. There is a way through it to the other side to find happiness and serenity. Let’s talk.

My work at Community Living Brant, The John Howard Society and Holmes House Treatment Center has allowed me to share space with many wonderful people. I’ve been fortunate to have met some incredible people who taught me the true meaning of what is important.

I received my diploma in Social Service Work at Sheridan College. Following that, I received my Bachelor of Social Work at Laurier University and my Masters of Social Work at McMaster University.

I believe it’s my responsibility and privilege to help others help themselves. Everyone is deserving of their happiness. Let me help you find yours.
